Every business gets one review link — Review link — send this to a customer on your dashboard. Send it however you already reach customers: email, an invoice footer, a follow-up message. Anyone who visits it enters an invoice number, and Bona verifies it against your Stripe account before a review request goes anywhere.
Add ?ref= and the customer's invoice number to the end of the link, and Bona fills in the invoice number field for them instead of leaving it blank:

This is worth doing whenever you already know which invoice a review request is for — a receipt email, a billing follow-up — since it's one less thing the customer has to go dig up. It's a convenience, not a shortcut: Bona still verifies the number against Stripe the same way, and the customer can edit it if it's wrong.
Use the full invoice number, including the part after the dash — a bare prefix like 51D2AAE2 won't match anything, since Stripe's own search only matches complete invoice numbers.
It also needs to be a paid invoice — a $0 invoice, like a free trial with nothing due yet, gets rejected even though it's real. If a customer's first invoice was free, use their first paid one instead.
Once the invoice checks out, Bona emails them a one-time link and a 6-character code — never the review form directly, since that's what proves the person clicking is the one who actually received the invoice. From there they land on the review form itself; see the reviewer-facing walkthrough for that part.
The link itself never expires, but it only issues new review requests while your Bona subscription is active — if it lapses, visitors see a plain "not accepting reviews" message instead of the invoice form. Reviews you've already collected stay published either way.
